Established in November 2019 and located in Lymington, the heart of the New Forest, The Cloth Fox is an independent fashion designer and fabric retailer. Offering an individual style and an eclectic range of dressmaking fabrics, vintage textiles and homewares from around the world.

  

Our ethos is creating individuality. Different is good. Different is about filling your home with beautiful things and wearing clothes that make you feel a million dollars - whether we've made them or you have.

We design and handcraft ladies clothing, on site in our Lymington workshop.  Creating seasonal collections using vintage textiles, dead stock material and fabrics from the shop so that we can offer limited editions and one-off pieces.

We hope to inspire you to explore your difference.  We love curating textiles and homewares that fill your life with colour and joy.

It's important to us that our goods have been ethically sourced and are sustainable products.  Wherever we can, we support small independent suppliers from around the world, helping to keep their families and communities in work too.

 

We don't do fast fashion. Over half our current stock of fabric is ethically sourced, Oeko Tex or GOTS Certified, and a quarter is organically produced.  We are working hard to change all our stock to be ethically sourced, using sustainable natural fibres,  and wherever possible Oeko Tex/GOTS certified.

We are working towards being zero waste.  All the plastic that we receive in our orders is reused or recycled.  All cardboard is recycled and all our fabric scrap waste is also reused or recycled. We donate a lot of our fabric waste to local charities, schools and craft groups. We use recycled kraft paper and bags to wrap our products in when sending mail order.
